Hello and Welcome to SickSupra.com… If you’ve made it to this page, chances are you came to see one of the most unique Supra’s on the planet. Most folks save up a lifetime to get a chance to own a rare Japanese super car such as the MKIV Supra…. Most will do the same boring upgrades, such as CCW Wheels, and a boring ass lip, maybe a spoiler and for those with a desire for an extreme adrenaline rush, will build their dream car with over 1,000 RWHP….. That’s not good enough, not for Joshua Nepa, he had to take a perfectly good 1998 1 owner Supra, with the coveted 6 speed Getrag V-160 transmission, and make a serious choice, separate himself from basic bitches with weak stomachs and no creativity.
He started by creating his own Rocket Bunny v4 kit…. They obviously didn’t make one for this model, so he decided to go to a local car max and walk around measuring cars fender sizes, that they did make one for…. Ultimately the Scion FRS was chosen, and Rocket Bunny ordered…. Upon arrival his mad scientist and master fabricator Jason, would lay down the ground work and customize to fit, many pieces of cardboard were hurt during the countless mock-ups… the original rendition was custom fastened on, and then the car went into a purple liquid wrap rendition performed by Rodrigo with AZ Auto Armor….
The premise for going to the wide body was the custom Work Wheels (VS/XX) with neo chrome lips… they just wouldn’t $#%^ing fit, so the car needed some cosmetic surgery, which required the cutting and removing of the fenders… After winning a couple of shows, this beast needed more surgery, time to lay down the air suspension, Joshua chose the Accuair set up, which only lasted months before Covid-19 struck and they went out of business…At this point, show season was over, and the car was brought to Ralph at West Motors in Phoenix, Arizona…. Ralph and his team, custom molded the Rocket Bunny kit, and added their own flare, including widening the functional air dam which cools the rear brakes and rotors…. The car got a fresh Ceramic Gray paint job, and is one step closer to being a Best in Show nightmare, that will haunt other Toyota owners for many years to come…
Final stage in 2020, was removing the Accuair and installed a new Air Lift 3H/3P, and aluminum hardlines….. so of course Joshua sought out the areas best possible talent in Aaron Hunt, his work has built many past SEMA builds, and he is well known for his art in creating highly creative and functional air ride set-ups…. He didn’t disappoint.
This Japanese One of kind, could not have been made possible without outsourcing the talent of www.SupraStore.com’s very own renowned engine builder Andrew, whom not only built this 1,003 RWHP beast, its been running for over a decade without fail… Of course to achieve that power, we solicited the services of Tony at UMS in Mesa, Arizona, whom has tuned more high horsepower Supra’s than anyone on this side of the Mississippi River. Tony is not only knowledgeable, he is incredibly easy to work with and always takes the time to explain the method behind the madness… Stay tuned as we return to Tony towards the end of this year to build on what he’s started with more powahhhhhhh, (goal is to land between 1,200 and
1,400).
Other businesses with their hands in this build (Pun Intended) was the most prolific polisher in the nation, Ken Michaels of Ken’s Polishing, all that shiny shit you see under the hood? Yeah, Ken spit shined that from dirt and grease…. Rob Barkley with Gloss Garage, took over where West Motors left off and Ceramic Coated this Japanese boner into something so shiny, that within 4 days, we would get a notice from the HOA, that the car was causing unnecessary reflections into our neighbors house, causing them to be awake all night, lol. If what you’ve been reading wasn’t enough, we’ve utilized a local legend in David Ward at Automotive Custom Lighting. David is a rare recluse and lighting genius, behind countless custom cars, he has operated on the lights, incorporating demon eyes, and halos, but rumor is later this year, he will doing some more one of a kind firsts on a Supra to bring it into 2020, from when he first did the lights many years ago.
Please stick around as we continue to push the envelope and do things to further distinguish this Supra and make a return trip to SEMA, in the immediate future….
STAY TUNED…………….
